Smart locks are excellent in the right door and a nuisance in the wrong one. Period doors are often too narrow in the stile, some apartment buildings prohibit changes to the entry door, and every battery-powered lock needs a plan for the day the battery dies. We will tell you before we sell you.

What happens in a blackout or when the battery dies?
Any smart lock we fit keeps a mechanical key override or an external power contact, and we show you how to use it on the day. A lock with no way in when the electronics stop is not a lock we fit.
Will one fit my terrace's front door?
Sometimes. Period doors frequently have stiles too narrow for a standard smart deadbolt. A retrofit unit that mounts over the existing cylinder is often the answer, and we measure before recommending.
Can I put one on my apartment door?
Check with the owners corporation first — many buildings restrict changes to entry doors on common property, and some require the door to stay on the building's master key system. We can work with either constraint if we know about it.
