Do we still need normal keys?
Yes, and we insist on it. Every access-controlled door we fit keeps a mechanical override so a power failure or controller fault is an inconvenience rather than a lockout.
What happens to the doors in a fire alarm?
Anything on an egress path must release. Magnetic locks are wired to fail-safe and drop on alarm or power loss. This is not optional and it shapes which hardware is legal on which door.
Is this worth it for a 10-person office?
